About

Hi! I'm Nathan. I'm a 1st-year Cognitive Science PhD student.

In June 2023, I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree in Psychology at the University of Manitoba.

I conducted my honour's thesis research under the supervision of Dr. Randy Jamieson, Cognitive Science Lab, Department of Psychology, University of Manitoba. Throughout my undergrad, I also completed research projects under the supervision of Dr. Dan Bailis - Action and Identity Lab, Dr. Nick Brosowsky - Attention and Learning Lab, and Dr. Steven Greening - Cognitive Neuroscience of Affect and Psychopathology Lab.

I am conducting my PhD research under the supervision of Dr. Ross Otto, Otto Lab, Department of Psychology, McGill University.

I am interested in studying cognitive control, with a specific emphasis on examining cognitive effort. Currently, I am investigating the potential cost of changing effort intensity states, i.e., cognitive control modes.

This website is a work in progress. I'll do my best to update it frequently!
